Meet Our Team
Wellspring.Global is an independent collaborative of healthcare professionals from academic medical centers and hospitals responding to the COVID-19 public health emergency. Each person is voluntarily contributing content in his/her/their areas of expertise as a public service. While all content is peer reviewed before posting, points of view are the opinions of the respective authors and do not necessarily represent the official policy of their employers. Please see our disclaimer before using our website.
J. Gregory Mears, MD
Medical Director of Wellspring.Global
Dr. Greg Mears has dedicated his life to caring for individuals with cancer and their families. For 35-years he has practiced at Columbia University Irving Medical Center where he is Professor of Medicine, Division of Hematology/Oncology. Always in service to patients, he recognized the overwhelming need to deliver evidence-based stress management tools to people who are home bound during the Covid19 pandemic, and to our colleagues providing frontline care. Dr. Mears is a key architect behind the Wellspring.Global movement and quickly volunteered to serve as its medical director to ensure that all of the information shared on this website and our social media pages is reviewed and vetted for medical and scientific accuracy before being released to the public. We are producing original content as well as aggregating material from vetted resources.
